Rosarios triptych, 2023 · Clay, pigments, metal wire, porcelain

  1. Rosario resembles a tree, a vine of sorts, its blue color is the one of the Virgin Mary’s coat. The tree is feminine and represents something organic.  Rosario is stringed like prayer beads but its metal line links bone like forms. 2. Armor Rosario features the skin and flesh that envelops us like an armor. The body parts are casts of my body. To cover the body in clay is my language. The piece refers to rites of passage. The fact that I am still alive.  3. Rosario with flowers is a prayer for life and renewal.
